tried to shoot e. brandt steez all weekend. a: my camera ain’t as good and b: i just don’t got skeelz. but enjoy what you may. such a beautiful city lends to beautiful photographs regardless of the mental capacity of the dude behind the camera. right? right.
since i’m bikeless, we are walking the city. its pretty cool because you realize how close everything really is here. and if you don’t wanna walk, hop on a bus. anywhere. makes me wish the greater los angeles/orange county region could work something out.
i’ve gotten to check out some shops, said what up to ginno and cori from back in the previous dayuzzz, and eat. eat a lot actually. and good food.

Waiting to catch my flight to san francisco. san francisco has become my vegas. its where i can go for a quick weekend away. get to hang out with erik, explore, photograph, and namely… relax. i really need this break from work and i’m freaking amped. ps I’ve never been up this early in the history of my life, unless I’ve failed to go to sleep the night previous. this summer is going to be glorious. living two blocks from the beach, even if its not the cleanest beach in the world, is amazing. ps, timmy found a needle on the beach while we were tossin the frisbee. ha!
went to the long beach museum of art last week with matty crane and was fortunate enough to run across some saweet stuff. one of the current shows is called “three” and it features three local artists working in various painting mediums. my personal favorite was lori lamont. born in 1968 in san pedro, she currently lives in the lbc. insane watercolor!!! although she often paints a world of beautiful fantasy, she also can beautify reality. here are a few of her pieces i stole from her website. awesome on the web, glorious in person. if you get a chance, the show runs through june 8. y’all got plenty of time. and fridays are free. you got no excuses.
i’m working on a couple different things right now. i’m designing a logo for my buddy jamie’s photography company “Pistol Photography” as well as working on some pieces for a couple of friends. here is photographic evidence of the haps.
