so i’ve lived here for almost three months (kind of…), and the apartment is finally coming together… i didn’t want to post any photos until i could show something i’m at least mildly proud of… jon did an insane job of vintage shopping and scored most of our furniture in pennsylvania… enjoy.
MADNESS!
That is my life in a word at the moment. I’ve been working a ton and trying to get a little bit of structure to my life. I’ve been riding the subways all over town to go to the different shops, so I’ve gotten quite a bit of reading done. I finally finished THE CIDER HOUSE RULES by John Irving. An interesting read that had me in the “I can’t put this thing down” mindframe. I was back in the Hampton’s again last weekend but now should be in the city for a little more than one hot minute I am hoping. I joined up with the local YMCA to try to get a little more physical fitness in. The sleep schedule has gotten quite strange. I go to bed between 11 and midnight and then wake up by 6 everyday. I’m digging it so far. I get tired in the middle of the day and coffee tends to be the midday pick-me-up that pulls me through. I’m hoping the consistent exercise will enable me to cut back a little bit on the mondo iced coffee sesh’s I enjoy throughout the day. I officially sold my track bike and picked up a Schwinn Suburban 5-speed cruiser that I am infatuated with at the moment. It forces me to cruise on a bicycle. Check out the old press clipping below. In other news, we officially have cable and internet in our apartment now. So nice. I think I can watch soccer at any hour of the day. There is more exciting news on the horizon including Erik Brandt‘s move to NY! I’m amped. And for those of you not in the know, my best friend Timmy and his wife Melody just opened up a bakery in California. Check it out. MY SWEET & SAUCY. Stop by if you are around! I want to post some pictures of my new apartment for y’all to see, but it just isn’t ready for that yet. Jon, Olivier and I have all been so busy that we have not had a minute to get things finished up.
