bio

Jacob Ryan Post is a native son of Long Beach California. Born to two christian californians, he was raised in the usual manner of a socal radical christian leaning family. 3 siblings, private school education, team sports, outdoors life lessons, working a menial job in high school, all encompassed in a youthful dream-like perfection.

Then he went through an era of post-youthful rebellion involving  rock n roll, alcohol, sleezy chicks (yeah you knew you weren’t the only one on his list) assorted drugs, friends, fun, work and the occasional camping trip. As it is for most who experience these years, they are as formidable as the ones before yet not the last stop on the line.

While in the midst of said personal growth and the accumulation of world experience Jake  was also pursuing a degree in fashion retail. Not content with sitting pretty on whatever paycheck he happened upon, he has been discovering his own jacobs ladder of success.  The rungs are a list of more and more reputable retail establishments in which he has proven himself more qualified for the job he was hired for and too valuable a commodity for any employer to hold on to.  Yet people still try.

Nowdays he is striving to become a “slasher”. A flagship store manager “slash” brooklyn local “slash” illustrator “slash” photographer “slash” personal journalist “slash” cultural pusher.  Its a rough life but he can’t stop and if all things go according to plan he’ll never stop.

Read on.

And for all you people back home remember that lesson of Jesus and stone throwing before you get too riled up.
