a brief and rapid update…

the broken bicycle wheel i spoke of earlier… still not fixed… but here is the proof of the damage done…

the beginning of the actual piece that i posted a sketch for… it is on the sheetrock i found on the street… so far its archival ink pen and black acrylic paint… it might soon include yarn and modpodge… not sure yet though…

the new bicycle.

i found him on craigslist and that is what he had already been named.  he’s an old royce union japanese cruiser.  i needed a bike to get me to and from the subway every morning, but i also wanted a bike that would be fun to cruise around on in the summertime with friends.  i think i found a winner.  let me know what you think.

apologies for the lack of updates…

but i am currently computer-less until my computer arrives sometime next week.  life has been amazing.  i love this place.  i love the adventure.  while i definitely dearly miss all my amazing friends back home, i feel like this is the place that i belong.  aside from sleeping, i haven’t done anything other than be constantly active.  whether it be working, exploring, fiesta’ing, high-fiving, subway’ing, walking, drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, having a beer with lunch, eating amazing food, waiting for my bed to arrive, hearing new music, etc, i really haven’t had a second of real downtime in my short three day tenure here.  its much different than the laid back life of miss california.  i realized almost instantaneously how much living in long beach held me back from doing things.  being so far from the heart of los angeles, you really have a hard time convincing yourself that its worth driving an hour or more away to do new things.  in new york, everything is within 30 minutes.  well, 45 right now.  but that is because i don’t have a bike yet.  hopefully that will have changed by tomorrow night.  i’ve got one in my sights that seems to be extraordinary.  i’ll end this post with a pic of the bicicleta.  it might snow tonight!  woot

and thanks to the crew i got some more mod podge’n to gitttt done.  good work fellas and ma’am.

a couple of things…

went on a bicycle ride with andy roo the other day.  he bought a sick new stem.  its red.  like his bike.  sexayyyy.

and we visited timmy at work hence the beautiful boats all ova da place.

worked on the collage-o-tropolous-machine a bit.  heres a before and during and after and after.

and i got some new shwag for the apt / re-arranged a smidget.

first a new lamp so that my living room is no longer a dungeon.  thanks to timmy for telling me bout it.

two more pictures for the frame wall.  haven’t put em up yet.

and i relocated the machine to the bedroom.  i think i love it a lot.

a grand way to start the new year…

went and saw dustin’s band play at the prospector and i was completely blown away.  i haven’t been blown away like that in quite a few hot minutes.  check em out.

next i went to the pike early on new years eve with big and coach prior to the fiesta at henns where i ended up working a smidge.  i think all had fun.

i am sorry to all for being non-existant on here…

but there is much good news.

a: got my new living space

b: making holiday money

c: riding my bike all the time

d: got internet in my apt today

e: loving life

f: my city provides for beautiful photographs all day and everyday (aka tons of blog photos on the horizon)

g: glorious bars within walking/biking distance

h: i’m freaking stoked!

bay urea, here we come.

mc timmy and i are headed to san francisco to visit erik, take a vacation, and freakin have some fun.  we are going to try to make a short documentary film from our trip as well as take many a photograph.  i’ll try to keep y’all updated while we are there.  in the meantime, here’s what you are missing out on…
