the beard…
March 10, 2009 | Filed Under hawt, life | No Commentswho’s days are numbered…
or just one of the funnest nights of my life. i can’t remember the last time i had so many of my favorite people together, in the same place, having the most amazing time. i am super blessed to have so many good friends around. plus, my friends all pitched in and purchased the jacket i wanted for me as a going away gift. freaking rad. here are a few photos from matthew lee crane. for the rest, click here and you can view his flickr with many many more.
but when you’ve got 350 plus pictures to sort through, re-sizing, editing and posting them all the way i’ve been doing just isn’t going to work with the sort of lifestyle i live. i simply cannot dedicate an entire 48 hours to a blog post. i’m sorry. so i’m stealing erik, nick and mc’s method of photo sharing. thank you flickr. here are a couple, follow this for the rest… this is my trip to boston and new york… hellooooooo…

so i have had a very long absence from the world of blogging for a very good reason… my computer freakin’ bombed. in the midst of the bombing, i realized how productive i was “technology-less”, so i refused to get it fixed. along the way, i made art, went to boston and new york, got a new job, watched a play-off boston celtics game at the td banknorth arena (formerly known as the boston garden), thought of doing a triple back-flip numerous times, and become more amped on life than i ever thought possible. while the internet-saavy world had lost me, i developed. i promise. more pictures of my boston/new york trip to follow. freaking yea dude!

so i’ve realized that nylon guys is a pretty legit magazine. its fairly well rounded and does a good job of demonstrating what is hip to the jive (cool in our world ?). it definitely isn’t entirely on point in my eyes, but its pretty damn close. i found the quote in my previous point in the aforementioned magazine, and these things also….
so i got deus ex machina from australia. sweet, beautiful, amazing, glorious, perfect motorcycles. seriously. if i could i would have one on my doorstep in the morn. these pics will you give you a pretty good idea of what i’m talking about. i got all these pics off their website. enjoy. you are allowed to lust after them. i do.

.

next up we’ve got barguments by doug hanks. it basically gives all of us knuckleheads something to bull poop about whenever we have had a couple and get sick of talking about real life. any one in?
coming soon to rock your world.
thanks to pages for the zesty

got a couple new things the last couple days… thanks to aunt judy and uncle chuck for the free furnishings. i’ve got a lot to start painting. table, hutch, chairs, stuff. sweet.

and now i sit in front of my apt to smoke a cigarette every now and again. i even have an ash tray. this is exciting.

i’m in the process of building an entirely free end table, probably two. its going to end up sweet, and pretty much free.

i think i previously mentioned that i had a three day weekend this past one yonder. it was glorious/crazy/fun/hectic/adventurous/random/spendy/perfect. it began with friday being pretty mellow, chillaxin at my parents with my mum and her daycare kids and sis. was pretty productive, did a few things i had to do. soon after i met up with big willy and he helped me pick up my new table that i think i have a mild crush on. its like totally perfect. then matty c and coach met up with me at the henn house and we headed back to my place in pouring rain to drink a few beers and head over to the red room. got there and ran into este. fiesta’d. laughed. i had a tequila shot which was the worst thing i’ve done in awhile to myself. whiskey? forever. tequila? not unless i’m eating tacos and the tequila is mixed in with a plethora of margarita mix (aka i can’t taste the tequila). we all had a splendid time. can i say again that we laughed a lot? (i apologize for the shioty pictures… i think i had some wacked settings going on with me samsung).

friday night was mellow compared to the madness that was saturday. big willy’s bday celebration day. began at shorehouse in huntington. haven’t really done that one in a while, but it used to be commonplace. good friends, good times, and again, laughter galore. that followed by a glorious night that began at henns, came back to my place, went to the red room, and ended up staying up until i’m not sure when catching up with homeslice courtney. took me a minute to recover from this one, but my friends and i had a complete and utter blast. could not have asked for more. ps, homes the random photo sesh with the random girls. pps, hows mike in the background in some of em. LOVE IT!

coach says goodnight
found it on craigs. i want it. a little re-upholstery, a little paint, and i’d have myself an epi little table set up that can seat six so i can have classy dinners and stuff. entertainment!

thoughts, suggestions?
so i have something very exciting going on this weekend… three consecutive days off of work. i haven’t really had this opportunity in a while, last time being the epi trip up to sf. i’m going to try to use the time in the most productive of ways. i created a kind of project for myself that i’m trying to brainstorm for already. in short, i’m going to wallpaper my entire living room with 8.5 inch x 8.5 inch “tiles” of colored paper that all have a photocopied image on them that will eventually line up. i know thats not a real sentence and is far too long, but screw you. i’m not sure how well this will pan out, but i’m chattering with some friends and trying to come up with the most logical way to make this happen without losing the integrity of the process. i’m hoping to incorporate illustrated paisley’s. heres a really rough sketch. hehe.
ps, if anyone sends me a hand-drawn paisley they came up with by tomorrow night (thursday night), i just might use it wink wink

this pic is compliments of the sartorialist. i’m planning on painting my walls for sure. i was going to paint the whole room one solid color, but i’m thinking of doing individual illustrations 12 inches at a time, and making them all separate. only black and white. and trying to keep most of them along the idea of pattern, not just completely random drawings (although i’m sure will be a couple of random drawings just for fun). thoughts? critique’s? should i utilize color? i don’t know at this point, but i haven’t stopped thinking about it since i saw this picture a while ago. friends, let me know. word?

but there is much good news.
a: got my new living space
b: making holiday money
c: riding my bike all the time
d: got internet in my apt today
e: loving life
f: my city provides for beautiful photographs all day and everyday (aka tons of blog photos on the horizon)
g: glorious bars within walking/biking distance
h: i’m freaking stoked!
