so i’m at work today, and this dude rolls in. super nice dude. his name is josh rifkind. he’s from georgia. he’s trying on steven alan garb and we get to chattin’. turn out he manages yonder band “the whigs” and also heads up an awesome charity called “Songs for Kids Foundation“. genuinely good human beings are hard to come by, and both projects he works with are pretty bad butt. click both the links or i’ll kill you. or we’ll have a tickle fight.
i went and saw my friends band repeater play in the neighborhood last night. they are sweet. listen to them. heres some photographs i shot. sorry, they suck.
i’ve been looking for some new music for a bit here, and i had forgotten about pitchfork. stumbled across their list of top hundo songs of ohseven. check it out. thats where i stumbled across the battles song. and also this lcd song i had forgotten about.
i think i previously mentioned that i had a three day weekend this past one yonder. it was glorious/crazy/fun/hectic/adventurous/random/spendy/perfect. it began with friday being pretty mellow, chillaxin at my parents with my mum and her daycare kids and sis. was pretty productive, did a few things i had to do. soon after i met up with big willy and he helped me pick up my new table that i think i have a mild crush on. its like totally perfect. then matty c and coach met up with me at the henn house and we headed back to my place in pouring rain to drink a few beers and head over to the red room. got there and ran into este. fiesta’d. laughed. i had a tequila shot which was the worst thing i’ve done in awhile to myself. whiskey? forever. tequila? not unless i’m eating tacos and the tequila is mixed in with a plethora of margarita mix (aka i can’t taste the tequila). we all had a splendid time. can i say again that we laughed a lot? (i apologize for the shioty pictures… i think i had some wacked settings going on with me samsung).
friday night was mellow compared to the madness that was saturday. big willy’s bday celebration day. began at shorehouse in huntington. haven’t really done that one in a while, but it used to be commonplace. good friends, good times, and again, laughter galore. that followed by a glorious night that began at henns, came back to my place, went to the red room, and ended up staying up until i’m not sure when catching up with homeslice courtney. took me a minute to recover from this one, but my friends and i had a complete and utter blast. could not have asked for more. ps, homes the random photo sesh with the random girls. pps, hows mike in the background in some of em. LOVE IT!
went and saw dustin’s band play at the prospector and i was completely blown away. i haven’t been blown away like that in quite a few hot minutes. check em out.
next i went to the pike early on new years eve with big and coach prior to the fiesta at henns where i ended up working a smidge. i think all had fun.
